One week...hanging in

It's been a week since I've arrived in Fremont, CA. I have to admit, it's growing on me. Settling in quite nicely and getting to know the family here a little better. I have kept in touch with my family and friends through email and phone cards, though I still miss them, keeping in contact makes everything much easier. I miss Jalen and Kyla (my nephew and neice), their smiles and playfulness. It makes me sad to know that they're growing up so fast without me around. Plus, they are soooo cute!

It's my brother's 30th birthday today. I can't believe he's 30! Happy Birthday Sonny! Wish we were there to celebrate with you!
